Logo design and branding for Toronto's newest urban development which provides creative spaces and community development through arts-based programming.
This project was completed while working at Entro. Entro developed a flexible identity that was applied to all communication mediums, both print and digital.
The chosen neo-gothic font has soft edges and a humanistic feel – ideal for a community-focused brand. The graphic element in the signature, a black line at a seven-degree angle above the wordmark, is inspired by the idea of the ‘launchpad’ in the name, symbolizing the lift-off point or jumping board to push artists and designers forward on their career path. This distinct element can be taken and amplified in various forms, such as using the angled line to frame images and graphics. It provides a simple and effective solution for extending the brand to many applications in a fun and exciting way.
